What is wrong with some of these kids today??? Okay….here’s the update. A couple of weeks ago I woke up around 2:30-3:00 in the morning because I heard something. Not being fully awake I wasn’t sure what it was, but stumbled out the front door to take a look. It didn’t take long to find one of the tombstones in several pieces, some of them flung around the yard. So Jason fixed it and put it back out along with the lights. Anyway, Jason & Rob were outside working when someone stopped by to tell Jason that they knew who did it and that there was a plan for the gang of four High School Sr’s to come back the night before Halloween to destroy everything so we couldn’t have the Haunt, or the food drive. How nice is that? So, Jason called the kid to let him know we knew who did it and to expect to hear from the police department because he was going to let them know as well. Called the PD, filed a report, provided the info, and the officer is going to take it from here. It appears these little hooligans had also gone over to NFM with fire extinguishers and bragged around the school about how they found people out walking and doused them with the Fire Extinguishers. All because there isn’t anything to do in Cape Coral. Gee….I wonder why anyone would want to invest time and money into things for people that destroy them and don’t appreciate what they’ve got. But I digress. Part of me is so angry that I just want to say after this year, forget it. No more. But then I think about that person that thought so much of the work and effort that is put forth by everybody year after year and I am reminded that it would be punishing the good people because of the misdeeds of a few bad ones. We’re just not wired to do that. So I want to say “Thank You!” to that person that has risked placing a huge target on themselves for bullying by telling us of the plans of these little selfish, ungrateful little monsters. At least our monsters aren’t real. If you know of anyone that might have additional information about this “gang of four”, I would be very grateful for the info. You can even call it in anonymously to the CCPD. And of course please keep your eyes peeled on the house for the next couple of weeks. I would appreciate it more than you know.
