Welcome to the Remsen Depot, located in Remsen, New York. The Depot was re-built in 1999 to replicate the station that existed on the site in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Today, the Depot serves as a stop on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad. The Depot site is also home to other activities such as the 5K "Runaround" road race, an annual Corn Maze, the Adirondack Scenic RR Halloween train and many other community events.

  FEATURED ATTRACTIONS

This year will be our 13th annual Remsen Depot Corn Maze. The 6-acre maze is located on Depot property. Participants receive a ride on a hay wagon to and from the maze (except Barn FOTA weekend). During the maze, a snack bar and gift shop are open in the Depot. The design of the maze changes each year. WEATHER NOTICE: We do close in the event of lightning or heavy rain creating slippery conditions in the field. Depot telephone -- 831-3409 The Remsen Runaround, a 5K road race, is held the 1st Saturday in August. The runners board the Adirondack Scenic Railroad train at Remsen and ride north to the crossing at Old Route 12. The runners then deboard the train and wait for the start of the race - the train whistle. The run is down the old state road back through the village to the Depot. There are protected intersections and water stations along the course. Awards and refreshments are provided to the runners. Note: the train originates in Utica so it is possible to ride to the race from Utica. However, the train continues on to Old Forge for the day. It does not return until 5:30. To register for the race or more information - call 831-2350.

  PRICES, HOURS AND DIRECTIONS

The Remsen Depot is located on Depot Street in the center of the village of Remsen. Directions to the Depot are as follows. From the South (Utica) Proceed North on Route 12. At the blinking light at Shufelt's Citgo gas station turn right onto Steuben Street. At the end of Steuben Street turn left onto Main Street. Take the first right onto Depot Street after the fire station (on your left). The fire station is at the intersection of Prospect St. and Main St. You will see the Remsen Depot on your left after crossing the railroad tracks. From the North (Boonville / Old Forge) Proceed South on Route 12. Turn left at "Mondi's B-B-Q" (on your left) onto Pritchard Road. At the end of Pritchard Road turn right onto Main Street. After passing Remsen Central School (on your right) take the 3rd left onto Depot Street. You will see the Remsen Depot on your left after crossing the railroad tracks.
