I just got through watching this movie on DVD and well sir I liked it.
If you are a fan of Movies like Tales from the Darkside, or Creep show I recomend this movie.
This is a Multiple story horror film where each story begins to intertwine with one another which makes the viewing very fun. The visual make up of the movie really gives it the Halloween feel and the monster's in the film though may not be some big budget cg, but they are done well and artistically fits very well into the overall mood and setting of the film.
Overall I give this movie 4 out 5 cracked skulls and is well worth the money to rent at your local video place.

I really enjoyed it, I love the interconnecting of the four tales and I think the script was really clever and didn't rely on the same cliches that most recent horror films have used.

JUST rented this one...instant Halloween favorite!!

Like mentioned before, I like how there are four different stories and they were able to be told using the same time line rather than telling each story apart from one another.

It wasn't scary but fun to watch...I loved how JUST when I thought I guessed what was about to happen, the exact opposite occurred...

***sexy lady werewolves are a plus too!!! ;)

I thought of this as a new underground classic. I really like the intertwining stories...one of those films that you don't fully appreciate all the subtleties until successive viewings. I also like how innocent feeling but brutal a lot of it was. I think this lot a lot of spark that it could have had due to all the issues with releasing. This keeps happening to too many films in the genre.

I personally thought it was awesome! Loved the intertwining stories and the pure halloween theme. I thought of it as a kick-ass goosebump movie.

Yup. Agreed with everyone above. It achieved what it probably set out to, which was make a fun and interesting flick, rather than some masterpiece of horror. The little baddie, Sam, is a fantastic icon, too. They did a brilliant job of wrapping up the spirit of Halloween - mysteriously evil, upholding a tradition, childlike. Definitely my favorite part of the movie.

I think it's the epitome of the halloween spirit.

I keep this little guy on my desk and whenever I'm feeling run-down or overwhelmed I just switch on his little pumpkin light and sit back and smile...

Well the figures are out there- in 2 or 3 options. I bought mine from.... wow- its been a while- I think it was from Dougherty's own site? hmmm...

Anyway, they don't come with a stand or light. You have to get your own creativity on! My little pumpkin light flickers like a candle! Shweeeet....

I just googled Trick R Treat Sam and come up with all kinds of hits that sell this and other items from the movie and after clicking about 15 of them and getting the same response "SOLD OUT" I had to stop. On one site I put my e-mail in so that when it came back in stock I would know. I loved the movie and that collectable is very cool.

These guys seem to have one version (at a decent price I might add):

It is the 'step up' from mine as it has two pumpkins, the cat-in-the-sack, and I read in another forum that it has an interchangeable head- dunno for sure.

I would have bought that one, but I wanted a simple desk-top buddy and didn't want to deal with the other parts. I paid $15+ ship for mine

Finally found it....

Here is where I bought mine, but it seems they don't have the simple version...

Outstanding price though!
