View Full Version : So, who's going to Midwest Haunters?

Word on the street is that registration is actually down from this point last year. If you're planning to go, I would encourage you to go ahead and pre-register.

Woah! Word on the street? LOL Only I know the real numbers. ;)

We are not down in attendance at all! Everything is on track for MHC to be as good as it was last year. In fact, registration for the Saturday night Masquerade party, aka THE HAUNT PARTY OF THE YEAR, is up 20%. Rooms at the Hyatt are filling quick and will sell out.

So yes, register now, but just so you are sure to get your spot!

I'll be there. Travel and classes are booked. Also hitting the pre-show haunt tours.

Looking forward to another good show. The classes and tours from the past couple years have been great to make the show and marketing campain at the haunt I work for be more effective. That was a big help last season where we lost nights from rain, but overall saw a significant increase in attendence per night over previous years and increases in returning customers in the same season.

Can't wait to see everyone next month, travel safely!

How's the vendor turn out looking? Looking at the website a few weeks back, it looked less than in the past. I would assume this is still a work in progress.

I'll be there with bells on and I plan to make up for the missing most of TW! Anyone attending my workshop on Saturday? I'm going to be packing a TON of information into the 3 hour workshop! Here's the info:

Marketing and Sponsorships – Kelly Allen: Saturday June 5, 1pm – 4pm

Author of “So You Want to be a Haunt Entrepreneur”, and owner/operator of Raycliff Manor and Carriage House attractions, Kelly Allen will dive into the ins-and-outs of sponsorships and marketing with an emphasis on a “grass roots” approach. This power-packed seminar will include a myriad of topics, such as Determining your Target Audience, Press Releases, Radio Advertising, Sponsorship, Your Website, Your Attraction Information Line, Use of Coupons, Posters, Tickets, Publicity Stunts, etc.

To find the workshop on the MHC site just look for the link to Weekend Workshops. I'm really excited about this presentation and I recommend you bring a pencil or pen and a notepad to take lots of notes! Seriously, I'm going to be packing 10 pounds of "stuff" in a 5 pound bag! ;)

See you all soon at MHC!
