How many people have had good luck working with like Menards, Lowes, and Home Depot on getting free unsellable lumber or varrius other supplies?

not too much luck. Menards gave us a 3% discount on lumber once (yippy) but when you deal with corporations its usually not pretty...

Home depot wouldn't even sell me a completely busted up sheet of 4x8 stryofoam. It was busted up pretty bad but no discount.

We were able to get a $500 sponsorship from home depot last year and $500 from lowes the year before.
