I don't know if this has been brought up on here or not. About an hour from home for me - Hate to see something like this.

yeah this is very awful news. Mark Cline is a very talented artist, and haunter and a great guy. The Monster Museum i've been to a few times and it was truly a 1 of a kind place and will sadly be missed. Our thoughts go out to Mark and his family.

Definitely terrible news. Couldn't believe it last night. Here's a video from a local news channel... with handheld video from Mark himself.

There is good news for people that knew about the planned haunt festival in May at his location. Our group spoke to Mark and the revitalization of Virginia Haunt Fest is still a go. We have been talking about it since before Transworld, and it's great that the Cline family still wants to proceed with the festival as we try to grow haunting in the great state of Virginia. A few things need to be changed around of course, but that's still being worked on.

Here are the details:
Friday, May 11th - Sunday, May 13th

Come join us in Natural Bridge, VA as we revive the VA Haunt Fest! Three, count 'em, three days of fun, frivolity and frights as we get together to have a haunted good time. The VA Haunt Fest is for the haunt enthusiast on any level. All activities, seminars and workshops will be held at the Natural Bridge of Virginia Complex.

If memery serves, something bad happened to him years ago, maybe it was some religious people damaged his shop or something.

Our thoughts go out to Mark and his family he is a great guy. I have been fortunate enough to visit his attraction. For those of you that know him know that years back he lost his studio to fire. From all of us at Double M Haunted Hayrides we are truly sorry.
