Anyone have some they can share? This will be the first year our haunt will utilize them and the online video I found uses a method I'm not totally fond of. I'm looking for plans using the quick release latch on top.
I'm sure I could figure it out, but a headstart never hurt.
Thanks!

I'm a weekly follower of Allen's channel, Stiltbeast Studios (just youtube search it) , but he doesn't have a drop panel inst. yet.
Try this channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/HauntItYourself/videos?query=drop
Hope this helps.

LOL I worked on that build. Cassandras was a blast to work at. I mostly just painted the facade and some other stuff but it was a great time. If you need a qucik video clearly showing the gate latch and how to set it up I can knock one of those out for you. just reply here and I will make the vid.
Night latch....works perfect for the release mechanism

Sean,
can you find a jpeg online of what you are refering to as a "night latch" I have always used a gate latch and love to try new stuff.

Drop portrait is something I need too! Do you make a special room for the people in it or do they stand on the outside of the walls (exterior of the house)

I like a small closet type room that can have two or three drop windows into different parts of the haunt.

We came across some old doors and a few of them had the locks already on them so we put them in use. It was free and I've been called thrifty ;)......very quick set up

If it was up to me, I'd have drop portaits all over the place. Great for extra actors and if they are left unused..no big deal.
.....Wait a MINUTE!!! It IS up to me :/

Extension off the Central Corridor, perhaps?
