Since you are privy to the special knowledge available in make up class, can you explain how I can remove this "Fat Belly" make up?
It seems to really be adhereing good for all of these years.

Thanks for the comments guys... again, here are more photos and a few extras.
This product is called "Mold Magic" made by Crayola (Wal-Mart arts and crafts) and is great for practicing sculpting, etc.
Simple cut with "mold magic".
Remember my face cast head from above? Here's the latex prosthetic prior to trimming and painting.
And for the comic releife from class... here's my "cross gender" of "female" make-up that we did today! Enjoy! LOL.
Take Care. -Tyler

I am thoroughly enjoying your posts and the progression you're making! I too, am venturing into sculpting/lifecasting and makeup. It IS a lot of fun! Thanks!
05-19-2007, 05:44 AM
Thanks for the comment man... I am having ALOT of fun doing this! Again, thanks for the enthusiasm. Do you have any pics? -Tyler
05-19-2007, 06:26 AM
Actually your "Cross-Gender" make up could also have been normal guy make up if you were Charlie Chaplin or another one of those silent movie era people.
Of course lighting and cameras had to be aided all they could back then to get a usable image. maintain a good, steady crank of the hand to make the camera work smoothly....Wow!
05-19-2007, 03:49 PM
Tyler, you're a hottie as a girl! LMAO!
I love seeing your progress pics. It looks like you are really dedicated and are having fun with it! Keep up the good work!

Here again with today's class update; today we did "Painted Fantasy" make-up so... enjoy.
I know, you've probably seen some bands wear this make-up... it was inspired by the Wolfe Bros.
Abstract fantasy make-up... I like this one.
Again, all comments and suggestions are welcome! Take Care... -Tyler

I had a blast with the class I took a few years ago.
I taught one class on prosthetics and it went so well, they wanted me to come back a teach the make up II class the next semester.
Wish I would have done now :(

You should have man... I know colleges are looking for more make-up instructors/etc. I know my college (NKU) is wanting to expand our make-up dept.!!! Good for me! Hahah... -Tyler

If it works out for you, jump on it.
Looks like you're having a ball!

Just a general college/theater update from me... Today, the NKU Theater dept. recieved $1.5 Million dollars to better support the program from Dick and Jane Rosslethur. The money will be used to grow such depts. as costume/make-up, props/scenic, and musical theater.
It's the largest private gift to a single dept. in NKU's history!
Now is SUCH a good time to be a theater student at NKU... I'm SO EXCITED!!!! -Tyler
