View Full Version : Grave Robbers

I had 3 custom items being developed by Graverobbers.

Grave Robbers is no longer a team - Matt Green is still involved and owner but the company is out of his home now.

All three items are proto-types but out of the 3 I only have 2 in my possession.

One is cheaply built and nothing like promised. During the day it is not worth using. At night it works, but fell apart after 3 hours of use. We are currently rebuilding the entire thing and it is not worth the $$ I spent.

Two - Was over a week late and is not what we asked for either. It has not broke (yet) but is nothing like I had intended.

#3 is still being built and I believe was a waste of $5,000+ dollars.

Now don't get me wrong... if you want to buy eyes, and plaques from Grave Robbers, please do so! Their eyes, and head plaques are amazing and worth the money - I bought several! However, beware of sending a check or doing some customized work.

I like Matt but he needs to stick to the stuff Grave Robbers already have perfected. I know these items were proto-types but one fell apart in three hours and is being rebuilt and the other lacked the elements we wanted.

Keep to the stuff on the website and Ebay - do not custom order animatronics or costumes.

I need to call Matt again today, to get some other non-custom props - and he does answer the phone, so far.

Buyer Beware - Guy is a Liar and a cheat! I am taking action against him. Anyone else (I know there are others) who have been ripped off can PM me for more info/assistance.

I bought something from them last spring and I was very impressed when it shipped to my house. Looks very realistic and well worth the money. Sorry to hear about your bad experiences.

Graverobbers is no longer in business.

I bought NUMEROUS items and bought again from them last weekend! The quality is tops.

But Graverobbers was a Multiple Owned Company that had Robin and Matt under their thumb. LSS - Robin left and Matt was left to do all the work w/ no budget. The two Co-Owners were just Money Men.
Robin is back working out of the home again and they are producing more quality props and realizing they were not prepared to take on the world w/ outside influence.

Femme Fatale SFX is the new company and you can contact Robin through me - until she get's things up and going.
Matt is making good on some of the items he owes me and they apologized for the lower quality products produced in late 2007. Things are back to normal and Graverobbers are a separate company. If you are still having issues or problems, please shoot me an e-mail and I will forward it to both parties.

I sent you an email and appreciate your help. Matt has made good on some of my order from last year, but am having trouble once again. I would appreciate contact info for Robin. I'll update this post when matter is resolved, but I'm still having trouble!!!

Thanks again in advance...

I spoke with the guys at Graverobber the other day.
they seem like they are trying to get back on their feet as Femme Fatale
I am sorry if the spelling is not right.
they said they filled all their orders from last year.
Can anyone tell me if their order has not been filled?
It is always so easy to know when someone screwed up, but is hard to know when a company has taken care of business. Nobody says anything then.

Please confirm or deny.

Hey Kevin,

Matt Green still owes me product/refund. He hasn't returned calls or emails since early February.

I will put a bug in his ear about it.

Thanks for letting me know.

Thanks Kevin!!! We are trying to budget in some of your product for this year and have had nothing but excellent dealings with you and Gore Galore.

Who is Graverobbers. Do they have a website?

It was matt green.
It is now femme fatale. They were at Haunt Con.
I don't even know if they have a website for their new business yet.

But it was graverobber studios.
They were the ones that lost their financial backer.

Did they have a website prior to this?

I am sure it was
but it is offline now.

Yeah it used to be Graverobberstudios.com

I ordered a head mobile and 1-2 plaques from them last year at Hauntcon. Got everything in July or August and was VERY happy with the quality. Saw them at hauntcon this year but did not see anything I wanted.

Hope they get their feet back from under them. I really thought their quality was exceptional....

thank you for the positive word.

I will say they still do have some orders to take care of from last year, and if they don't they will have a problem.
The gentleman that has the outstanding order is very reasonable and polite about it.
But he really feels like he is being given the run around.
So, Matt, Jeff, or Robin if you see this post you need to address this problem in short order. You guys seem very reasonable.
He has been very patient.
I have tried to email (returned) and call with no response.

I just wanted to post a follow up note that robin took care of the customer who was having a problem getting his order filled. They took care of business.

Thanks for your time

Thanks for the follow up Kevin! I had intended on posting the results, but you beat me to the punch.

Robin of Femme Fatale FX did rectify this situation. She was very apologetic and followed through with what she said she was going to do. I am glad this is over and would probably do business with her again(just differently). Matt Green on the other hand is another story.

I would also like to say Thank You to the Vendor's Coalition - especially Kevin, Jeff of monster-tronics and Barry of MHC for taking an interest in my situation and helping it get resolved.

Glad to hear everything finally got sorted out. I have a question though. The haunt industry is a time-sensitive thing. If you get your stuff or a refund but not until well after Halloween, does that really count as having been made right? Odds are it had an impact on last season in some way.

Thanks Shawn,

You have a very valid point! In fact, I had assigned one of the props as a main prop for a charity event I was working on and we had to make some last minute changes that were very stressful.

I guess for my sanity, I just have to focus on the fact that it's over and the bad experience led me to good vendors in the industry. This was not their problem, but they took notice and did what they could to help. And for that I am very thankful!
