They were lucky somebody didn't keel over!
I do like scaring people with alot of the lights "On", they usually don't expect it then.
This little town once had a couple of goofy Policemen who thought it would be funny and interesting to see how long the county sherriff across the street from the bank would take to respond to a silent alarm?
These two put on masks , guns drawn walked in the bank!
They were VERY lucky that one of the elderly employees or customers didn't drop dead.
Of course nobody told the Sherriff anything about this. A few years later the one goofball went to jail for many years for actually holding up a gas station 25 miles from here. They may never have caught him if he hadn't left a pair of registered "City Of Mount Carroll" handcuffs holding the gas station attendant to the plumbing in the restroom.
