Can anyone give me some really good recommendations for pre-painted prosthetic masks/appliances. Last year we used a number of San DiegoFX Studios aplliances (Haunting Faces), but they are no longer selling these. We need a wide variety. I'd appreciate your recommendations!;)

Kel, We introduced a set of four pre-painted silicone appliances this year at TW and these are far more re-usable than foam. They slip over the head via a lightweight black **stocking cap. All you have to do is secure the edges with the supplied silicone adhesive and remover, add a wig to cover the cap, touch-up around the eyes and neck, and you are ready to scare. Total time in make-up chair, 10-15 minutes. I will have four more styles in two weeks, I'm behind on my sculpting time due to the busiest season we have ever seen.

**-If you don't want to use the cap, you can remove it and use them as regular appliances.

I really like your masks... but, can they be modified? I mean, if we were to buy several masks, could we trim out the "sock" portion of the masks and use "skintite" silicone adhesive on the entire appliance like you could with a foam? I'm just wondering because we are looking to place an order with you sometime around TW'09! -Tyler

Yes, You could also order them without the cap entirely. We can also alter paint schemes with enough lead time. We also are able to use the new ECO Flex 20 series silicone which makes them very soft. We just use a firmer one for re-usability.

If you are looking for the half masks we used several from Chris Russell at http://twistedtoybox.net/. I really like his work and I have to give the guy a kudos as I had a $1000+ order out with him after Katrina hit and he actually called me to ask to slip the ship date a few weeks because of him having problems getting supplies into Mississippi. And the order was still in before many of the TW show vendors. He is a great guy that does really good work...

BTW, very nice stuff Rob and Matt!! You guys are do some very amazing work!

Here's the update on our search for our prosthetic appliances - We've had a meeting og the minds with the Fright Team, who are helping with the development of their characters and we're needing. Boneyard FX is out of stock on the ones we like from them. The following are the ones we were wanting:

2 ea. - Creature
1 ea. - Skinned
3 ea. Vampire
1 ea. Zombie Withered

We also like the CFX Ded Hed prosthetic, but they are down for order-taking right now due to the storms. We would wait until both places could fill our order, but we are in a rush because we have a college theatre makeup artist coming to do a makeup workshop for us. Anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get similar appliances in a hurry or a reseller that carries the products mentioned above? I appreciate your assistance!
