Congrats on the great radio interview on one of the nation's (or THE) largest AM talk station! I was getting ready to leave for work when I heard Spike O'Dell introduce you - awesome PR for the industry!

Great interview - even though after you ended the news guy said "I wish he talked spooky!?!?" WTF? I guess they think everyone in the industry is in some kind of "character" all the time?!

Spike called The Ravens Grin Inn....
Jim "Talked Spooky", but then, this is the only voice all the years of doing this has left me.
Spike asked for directions to get here.
I told him to turn right at the stop sign where 64 and 78 cross.
Later he asked me if there was a "sign" he could look for when driving here?
I slowly said..."Yes....it says...STOP." (I just told you!)
Spike then asked if they would need their adult diapers to make it through my house?
I recited my little poem that had been my ad in The Chicago Reader:

Ravens Grin,
Spooky little town,
Culture shock, Touch Death's gown,
One-hour tour,
Guaranteed Scare,
Tempt the Night,
Stain your underware!

After the laughing subsided Spike said:"With a voice like that, you should go into "radio".
"Radio....is that the small box with the knobs?"

A man with his family were 25 miles south of Mount Carroll driving back to Chicago from their vacation when they heard all of this on the car radio, he turned north and showed up here for a house tour 30 minutes later!

The next year Spike was asked by a woman radio personality if I looked like I sounded since Spike had met me that summer at the Savanna car show.
This is funny since so many people used to say I sounded like a 60 yr. old 300 pound man with a white beard..
"You mean I sound like Santa Claus?"
