I don't think I can travel that far so count me out... LOL

Yeah I'm going!

Undecided for right now.

With my job, it's really hard to plan stuff out like this.

I already have a vacation request in for the first week of May for my birthday. And with that, it's gonna be really hard to take this weekend off too.

I'll keep my fingures crossed.

Could use some advice... I'm a new comer to the haunt business and have been creating my own house haunt for the past 3 years but would (in at least 2-3 years) like to become a professional haunter and open my own attraction.

My question, does it make sense if I have the time and money to go to Transworld show and begin learning the craft in more depth? Is it beneficial to a newcomer like myself?

Simply... yes! -Tyler

I'm excited to return to Transworld, since we missed Vegas last year.

J., If you can make it to TW and participate in the seminars, you can save yourself a lot of trouble and money in the long run! If you're planning on operating a professional (for-profit or non-profit) haunted attraction, TW is a definite asset and should be included in your business plan! ;)

I'll be there

I am pretty sure I will be there..

My business partner, Terry, and I are hoping to be able to attend...it all depends on work vacation time...
But if that works out...we're there!!!

Let me try and answer some questions here...

Norm temp in St. Louis in March should be in the 70's, here in St. Louis the weather is very unpredictable. One minute it could be nice and sunny and the next day it could snow then the next day its all melted and back to 60 degrees its just funny down here.

But in March we are playing baseball so I would say you could wear shorts.

Second on the agenda: Should a new haunter attend? YES without a doubt... everyone has to start somewhere this is a for sure. I attended my first show back in 1994. I'm old!

The weather should be great and vendors are buying more booths and bringing more product than any year before!

Should be fun!

Thanks Kel & Larry,

I'm really inspired by both of your sites/haunts and would love to get to that status one day myself but my partner and I will def be coming this year to check everything out and take notes.

Any ideas what seminars there will be or which would be ones I should highlight to start with?

Thanks again,

Hey all,

I'm not and owner operator other than a home haunt so how would I go about getting registered for the trade show? 5 Bullet points are listed for those who are not Owner/Operators on the hauntshow website not sure which I can use...

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks Jay! I'm not sure what the seminar lineup is yet. I've been keeping an eye on the website, www.HauntShow.com to see if anything has been posted. I'm also watching for the information on the Darkness Tour! I would recommend seminars on Safety, Business Management, Marketing/Advertising, Fright Team Recruitment & Management, Budget Prop and Set Design and probably others I'm not thinking of at the moment. ;)
