View Full Version : Do We All Get Such "Compliments"?

My Mother was visiting with her cousin who was told by his friend in Wisconsin that "The Ravens Grin is the best house like that that I have ever seen."
Then he added:"But the guy who owns it should be put in a lunatic house!"
(But I make more money being out here doing what I do!)
He likes my product but has doubts about me running around free.
..but one of these personalitys is just an "act"!
Keep them guessing which is the act and which is me.
"That's Entertainment!"

I would consider that a compliment. If the one guy thinks you're actually crazy, then he probably enjoyed the haunt because of your acting. :) Acting is what most will say makes a good haunt.

Jim what always makes me leary of going through your haunt again is that bloody axe that you carry so gracefully behind your back. Scary stuff. But your an alright guy.

Good word of mouth advertisment. That goes a long way today.

Those axes are IN my back! Remember I have been married five times! (Although I had almost forgotten three of them until You Reminded Me! Thanks alot!
(Really I get along well with my exs most of the time but now with the heavy melting at least they won't be asking for water from behind the wall for awhile.)
What is this "Acting Stuff " people keep referring to?

People tell me I am crazy all the time. They tell me I need a hobby or something. But guess what? This is what I enjoy doing and I make money off of it. I don't work a day and you are just jealous.
But Jim I would take that as a compliment because that's what a haunt is. It crazy, you have to be crazy in order to make a good haunt.

When someone gets abit nasty about telling me what I am and what I should be doing, then call me "Crazy", I have upon occassion told some of them: "Me "Crazy?" I don't have to wake up everyday at 5:30, go to a job defined by someone else, punch their time clock and hate doing that most of the time, so who, between us really "Crazy?"
Of course putting such pointed questions to some people might win your arguement but won't leave them "Happy". Of course you only pull out the big guns when they have already pushed passed that imaginary line in the sand.

Ravens Grinn is a few hours from me, I have to say it gave me the chills and turned my stomach. Very nice job Jim!!

And I don't even run a restaurant!
I might be opening a hot dog stand though since the local Dairey Queen quit selling the foot long dogs (A concern for pubic safety?)
The city building committe questioned why I would need a fitting room next to my hot dog stand?
They misunderstood the blueprint. I would never wish to inspire shoplifting from my own business!
Really. Call up the Mount Carroll Dairey Queen and see if what I said isn't true.
