I've been trying to move my haunted house setup from software to hardware.
Does anyone know of a good triggerable video player.

Right now I use a Kit74 and Winamp to trigger effects and video.

Since you didnt say your budget I am just going to suggest the Video Player from Gilderfluke:

Haunted Enterprises now sells a great Solid State Video player that is verry easy to program and triggers off a PIR. This is what I use.

This is the controller I designed to trigger my projection remote as well as to start my VSA program for my 3 axis skull routine with a PIR. It's a mechanical solution that uses a $10 Picaxe microcontroller. The whole setup costs less than $25, works to start all my remotes and doesn't require me to hack them.
