I made a prop and I need opinions on it. I took a cheap skeleton and used paint to paste toilet paper on it to make skin. I then attached the corpsed skeleton to a metal candle holder and I want any opinions or suggestions. Please give me feed back, This is my first corpsing project. ALso when the time comes Im going to place a candle in his hands and one in the pile of skulls ontop. Its far from finished but I will also accept some tips from anyone who is good at corpsing

Try dry brushing the skeleton with a lighter color to make the details pop a bit. also lighten up the teeth. looks good especially for a first try,

thank you so much! Yes I was thinking I had to dry brush it. Also I had a question. Would shrink wrapping the skeleton make it look like its still slimey and decomposing?

shrink wrpping it could make it look like its in some weird egg sack, but a good layer of polyqurethane, and hitting it with armor all every now and then will make it look slick and nasty.

Ya I have a corpse similar to this just without the candelabra and I did mine a brown and dry brushed some different browns and greens on it. It looks pretty good, especially for my first try. It was cheap too.

It's looking very good I would totally dry brush on some different tone color paints to give it that final detail.

I am very happy for all the help! Yeah I'm going to dry brush it sooner or later and I also need to get a spooky electric candle for the hands and the top of the skull pile. For my next corpsing is cotten and latex a better method?

Its a different method, not better. Cotton and latex gives a bit more depth and a nice organic look. Feel free to add some rolled cotton to your paint mix it works fine with latex paint too. there are tons of ways to corpseify and they just give different looks I would not really say that any one is better.

hot glue some Spanish moss or real moss and spray the whole thing with spray glue then throw some dry dirt on them.... and of course spider webs help
