View Full Version : Traffic Ranking Tip...

A lot of people ask me how to increase your percieved site traffic... one way is to download the Alexa toolbar and put that on your browser. Its a toolbar but it also acts as spyware, which tracks sites you visit and sorta inputs that into something like what give tv and radio its radios. A very SMALL amount of people have the Alexa tool bar, so how accurate their site rankings are is hard to say, but when you visit your website it would help you some, because you'd be one person and you'd represent hundreds more.

I guess much like arbitron works, one person represents a lot more.

The one thing I like about the Alexa tool bar is that when you visit a site the tool bar shows you their site rank and stuff like that. You can click on a link and get site stats and stuff. Pretty cool!

Let me know what you think...

Would this tool bar be more effective in boosting a site's ratings than cheaply hiring a mob of third-world citizens to aim their spammy keyboards at you?
The server says, "Quick! Unplugg the equiptment, here comes a spam-tsunami!"

I have used the toolbar many times. Alexa has some great features and is a good way to estimate.

I have used it many times during my other job in Design and Marketing for clients and research.

Do you have an alexa toolbar on your browser?

Yeah I downloaded their toolbar and have it for us view rankings and such.

A nice little tool it is. Prob one of the better things out of alexa.

I have a crowbar, a blue bar and a thin little bar originally made to disassemble bees nests, I have used them to rip apart old computers and I STILL haven't found that little man inside who seems to know so much!?
