That's awesome Badass!

Good luck this season. It's great to know rain doesn't stop them. You have a hard core attraction with hard core fans!

Go do your thing and thanks for posting that!

09-26-2009, 08:46 AM
soo now here i am at 10 am in the morning..
havent been to bed yet..

early in the evening..
something big broke..
which has been our theme so far this year..
just a landfall of last minute issues..
and big ones...

so anyways..
this item was made for david copperfield
and used parts we didnt have..

made a call to some of the employees of the vendor..
and after some brainstorming...
one of them drove to the shop..
and welded together a different design...
and drove it to the haunt arriving at 1 am..
and the cutting and welding began..
it involved alot of work..

but it is ready for the show tonight...
and i am just now finished..

i bet there are few people who know
what goes into our shows...
and the lengths we go thru

and guess what???

its still raining

We all know how easy it is, just sit there selling a few tickets and count the money. There's no "work" to this.
This what some barstool Commandos have figured out about my place and haunt.
Of course their favorite remark I love is , "I could have done that!"
Yes, and you could have taken a bath if the straps holding you to the barstool ever rotted off!
Keep that fresh urine flowing, someday you will be free!

What do you have that was made for David, and how did you come about aquiring it? Thats pretty cool. If you want an interesting story, get a copy of the August 2009 Magic Magazine. It is about David's Island that he bought a few years ago, and some of the entertainment options he has on the Island for guests, including the appearing and disapearing outdoor movie theatre, the treasure hunt, and the upcoming hidden world that is inhabited by trained monkeys (not kidding). Its only $37,500 per day for up to 12 people to visit. Check out the website http://www.mushacay.com/. I remember seeing a pic of him wandering around Transworld last year too, maybe he is thinking of a Copperfield Haunted House?

Was going to make the trip over to Columbus from Indy this year to check out the hoochie but a pregnant wife has halted that plan. We will definately be there next year though. The doctor said it was ok, but dont want to take the risk.

Yea your haunted house does seem awesome i plan on making a trip down there this year to visit and check out some haunts around the area. Looking forward to it seeing the videos and website. Hopefully stops raining down there but i am definitely looking forward to seeing your haunt this year

I dont know if they told you but me and Linz made it out friday night and got the VIP works tour. She cant stop talking about how awesome everything was. She wants to come out sometime during the day or another time to see it all. (We got behind a large group so she missed alot of the effects). Awesome Job again man! Granny sends her love

I will be there on the 1st of October, took a trip out there last year and loved it. Best Haunted Attraction I have ever been too.

Hey buddy

I dont think i have your number.

As for the Rain it caused us to close the orchard saturday and not open till 1 on sunday and people were still getting stuck. We are bracing everything down these wind gusts are horrible! We cant afford to lose another tent like we did 2 years ago due to the wind. Oh the cable just went out looks like we are in for a windy day

09-28-2009, 11:55 AM

all you guys who come out..
from other haunts n such from around the country..
let em know at tickets..
and unless we are fixin something..
or there are like 5 thousand people in line..
i would like to come out n meet ya..
and hang out for a few...

hell yeah lookin forward to it...

Ever hear the phrase-"Be careful what you wish for, you might get it."? We have been needing rain in the south, and unfortunately, here in Atlanta we received over 20 inches last week. This would be okay, if we were an indoor event. But when you are doing an outdoor hayride, wonderful things start happening, like graves filling up with 2 feet of water, props washing away, etc. We have spent more time cleaning up after rain than we have decorating.

Hopefully your stuff will be okay, and you can get some sleep. And, no, there is no sleep for the wicked!

Have a good season.

gotta say haunted hoochie is my favorite haunt I go there at least once a year. They do all the things that would have my township trustees on the war path.
Will be there this weekend. The only thing I don't like is the long line to get in.

09-28-2009, 08:27 PM

I cant say this enough...at the Haunted Hoochie....Get the VIP..to skip the lines...It really is the best deal that way you dont spend hours upon hours outside. I got it Friday night and because of it I was able to see another haunt that night.

09-29-2009, 01:50 PM
Can I ask what was broken?

I came Friday night and did notice what appeared to be a giant animatronic not working. Didn't bother me though. There's something ferocious and awesome coming at you nonstop throughout, even if everything isn't in working order.

I drove 2 1/2 hours and probably won't get a chance to return this season, so was just curious what we missed.

09-29-2009, 07:42 PM
some good news...

think we will make AOL's top list..
they returned the mail with forms to
release picture rights n all that..
but we did this all a few years ago..
and Not..
my head is bowed n i am praying..
talk about last minute..

the winds didn't really blow to hard..
after a whole night preparing..

and you are right..
it is a huge animation that was built for a millionaire and his private haunt
that i was asked not to reveal on here..
i have said too much..
but its back and bad as hell
thanks to some excellent engineering in the wee hours of the morning..

the Haunted Hoochie is going international...
with a spread in Bizzare magazine......
very nice..
i think that makes 7 magazines for this year..
personal record

zombie gave us his blessing to use his music..
since we are the worlds most extreme haunt..
which is way better then the cease n desist he sent me last year...
there is talk of a trip...

and u tube wants us to partner with them
and promote n make money placing adds next to our videos..
very nice...

this year we didn't make any new videos..
to busy making the most kick ass haunt ever
but here is a blast from the past...
we made for hauntworlds top 13
which paved the way for all our national success
thankyou all very much
and you know who you are.....enjoy

Skip the line at the Hooch??? NEVER! Hell, waiting is one of the best parts. Two years ago, we stood there for hours just watching dozens of people making their way from the parking lot to the ticket line getting tangled up in fences, doing face plants in the mud, etc. It was great. Last year one of the guys in our group lost his ticket sometime during the 3+ hour wait and had to go back and get another one. It's like a tradition.

Debauchery at the Hooch 2009 will be the 10th or the weekend after. Can't wait.

A friend of mine went and got beat up by an actor. Don't think I'll go. The last time I commented to an employee that there are no smoking signs posted everywhere and yet I see the actors smoking like crazy. They said the signs were for the guests. So I guess the "No Touching" part of the sign applies only to the guests as well.

10-05-2009, 05:53 PM
after reading your post..
i reviewed all the notes on this incident..
and just watched the video...

your friend starts by getting up on stage and taking the actors chainsaw from him
and pushing the actor off the stage...
and when another actor gets the saw back from him..
he swings from the sprinklers and kicks another actor in the face...
then jumps down and starts beating on the kid...
now i say kid..
because i read in the report your friend is 28 years old..
and the kid who got his teeth kicked down his throat was only 17...
but anyways...
come to my office and i will show you the tape personally...

its not the first time someone comes to the Hooch to raise some hell..
but damn...
what a class act...
and you want to get on here and raise some more hell...??
dude seriously??

which brings up a great point for this forum..
the importance of cameras...

our haunt has over 50 cameras ..
there is never a place where where you are not being recorded..

they remove all doubt about just what took place...

on another note...
we are having a great season...
despite all the rain..
we have been absolutely packed

happy hauntings....

Thanks for the clarification, Badass. The story I received obviously painted a different scenario. As a haunter, I certainly do not approve of violence toward guests OR actors. Sorry to hear that your actor was injured in this incident. Congratulations on your "Top Haunt" promotion!

10-16-2009, 09:16 AM
I will be down there tomorrow cant wait to see the haunt. I will ask for you when I get there also to see if you are available to talk

10-19-2009, 08:43 AM
It was great seeing your haunt on Saturday and being able to meet you. Very good haunt liked lots of the things you had in there.

10-22-2009, 09:44 PM
Heh... Damned chickens. Evil little birds from beyond the grave lurk at the Hooch... I hope they all meet a cruel and unusual death like the ones in the Al Sharpton KFC video. They're posessed! It's like someone (or something) is directing them.

10-23-2009, 01:39 AM
hahaaaa u must have met "The Evil One" my wife LOVES THAT BASTARD !

10-23-2009, 05:26 PM
Heh... I don't know who "The Evil One" is, but this little bastard almost got the boot. Field goal style. It was funny, my 4 year old was with me and she thought it was hilarious until she realized my panic was real. I wish like hell he had a surveilance camera on his porch. I'd win some money for sure.

10-24-2009, 09:37 AM
If he had it on video ( Which he may theres allot of em' ) he might be able to win 100,000.00 from funniest home videos.... ( HELL YEAH )

I think it would be funny seeing ya run around like a little girl...lmfao, people are funny when they are scared shitless.... ( Ill side with yer 4 year old it WAS FUNNY AS HELL )
