  • Writting an industry book

So I've been planning for years to write a book based around mine and other peoples experiences as actors in haunted attractions,

topics ranging from timing to make up tips stories dealing with customers both good and bad.....the psychology of the scare not blowing
your voice 3 hours into a very long shift I.E vocal training and so one alot of what will be shared in this book will mostly be things i've seen
done and been a part of over the last 15 plus years both in an indoor haunt that is year round to the large scale halloween haunted hayride.

If anyone has any expirences make up tips photos or anything at all they'd like to share please pm me or email me direct
    at uncle_skitzo@yahoo.com

thanks for taking the time to read this

    Imput

I have done the acting thing just once and I know there is a lot that goes into being very scary. I have some ideas for your book that would greatly benefit actors. I will compile a short list for you and email them.

          Haunt Acting Hard or EASY?

There should be a natural feeling for it, a Confidence that not everyone has.
Besides Confidence, there must also be a Desire to actually do the "Deed".
When things don't quite go as we think that they should, another facet has come into play, Creative Thinking.
The Desire to be there and do the Deed will carry the night for quite a while but reserves of physical energy will also be needed.
A peculair type of Fun awaits those who give out the work to scare, entertain a night full of participants visiting a Haunted House.
I don't know how I could handle only being a haunter for one month?
I have been open almost every night for these last 25 years.
This provides me with a fabulous opportunity the rest of the year to Really play with the patron's fears, expectations and that clock just creeps along for the rest of the world but inside The Ravens Grin an hour seems to be 20 minutes as I distract and entertain with my own ideas, props scenes, devices, all the while I am narrating the experience and often ad-libbing too .
I guess that I wring out the most from the customer for my own personal enjoyment! How selffish of me!
Of course I LOVE doing this!
          LET ME ATTEM!"
          Good Luck with your book.
