I feel I should let everyone know that my haunt will be an INSIDE Haunt this year! HOORAY! :-D x 10
It's an unusal situation where Halloween Express Stores (one of our sponsors) and The Scream Extreme (us) are sharing a building. At 35, 000 sq. ft, we will take approximately 9,000 of that and the rest goes to the store. Building a wall between us, the exit of our haunt will also be one of the entrances to the store. We are also creating alternative exit just in case we have to be open past store hours.
The store has agreed to sell our CDs that Virgil will be creating for us of which is just grand! Now, we won't have to worry about selling them ourselves.
The building is wired for sound, so our CD will not only be heard in the haunt overhead, but also in the store. This is the one time I wish I had the funds for Scream Extreme Tshirts as I'm SURE they would sell. It's tough being broke. 
This will be a great partnership as we will help each other out -- customers from the store will be intrigued by the noise next door and pay us a visit and our customers have no choice but to go through the store.
Our new location is at Marketplace at Birdcage in a former Room Source (furniture store). It's a large shopping center with over 35 major shops there like Target, Best Buy, Longs Drugs, Lowes, Barnes and Noble and Starbucks. As a bonus, it's right across the street from one of the largest Malls in our county. Oh and the building is up to code with working sprinkler system, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, lit "Exit" signs over doors and several emergency exits.
Management is just absolutely awesome! They love what we are all about and are behind us 100%. So much so that we do not have to worry about security, stanchions for the que line, the electric bill (They're paying it!).....they're even painting the windows black fo us. They have also announced they will take out a full page ad about the haunt in our local paper and put us on three of the top radio stations. And get this.......IT'S ALL FREE!! The building, the advertisement, the perks.....We dont' have to pay a cent...not one thin dime!!
For the past two days, I have been sitting back wondering what in the world I have done in this life to deserve such a blessing. But, this is not about me -- it's about the kids. This opportunity was given me to make more funds to better serve the kids. I feel for the first time that The Scream Extreme will finally be what it was intended to be -- a true FUND RAISER!
