Dear Present and Future IAHA Members,
I just have to say, we have a highly motivated and cohesive team on the IAHA board and it excites me to know that we are all interested in maintaining an association that holds the member professionals in high regard! I've said it before, but I want to reiterate one last time, I feel very fortunate to have come on board at a time when the last year's board has worked diligently to re-establish a positive direction for the association and a renewed faith in IAHA. I'll be honest, before seeing the efforts of this past year's board, it was questionable as to whether or not I would renew my membership. I have a restored vision of where this industry is headed, confidence that we will get there and I'm excited to be a part of the process.
The first meeting I had the privilege of attending last night was extremely productive. The board has divided the tasks related to the three year plan into committees which will pursue clearly set objectives and goals. There is a momentum in IAHA that is rapidly picking up speed and as Tim Gavinsky, our new IAHA President, put it, "we're throttling the gas pedal!" This is a very exciting time to be not just a part of the Haunted Attraction Industry, but a participant in its' future. We're working on methods to more effectively communicate the actions and progress of the IAHA's mission and goals to you, the members. There are many great things on the horizon for IAHA and our industry! Stay tuned for more.
