      Allen,

No offense but I think a legend and long time supplier to the haunt and entertainment industry like Ed Edmunds knows a little more than even you when it comes to making molds. Right or wrong, they sell thousands of props a year. Personally, I wish I had a fraction of his talent!

        Jake,
I am sorry, but I will have to agree with Allen on this one.

          Jake,
I mean no disrespect to them, but there are a ton of mistakes. Some of it is style difference and I understand that but they really do a lot of things the hard way. I have visited their facility in CO and learned a lot while I was there (by looking around and talking to Mike). I love the show and I do pick up things from the sculpting and production tips, but not on the mold side. Im sure they film crew only shows the bad stuff, but the bad stuff they show should not even have happened in the first place to show. I dont understand how a mold maker could watch it and not cringe. I understand that molds are a means to an end for them (the thousands of products sold you mentioned being the end) and that the focus is not on the mold making, they just have to be good enough to get the product out.
I also have no idea why they keep saying "a cement like substance" every time they explain the mold making process on faceoff. Just frigging say plaster!

I gotta say, I'm with Allen, and don't know that much about mold making. But from what I DO know and as many times as they showed the molds cracking or even the plaster application, I'm like "hmmmmmmm". But it's definitely a fun show to watch. Like with any reality show, I know they have to spin things to create the drama that makes us wanna watch. Whatever Ed and Marsha are doing, however, is CLEARLY working cause they're top names in the industry and as Ed jokingly says on a regular "At least we can stay open one more year". haha

                If I might ad.

I was also wondering about thier clay.

Its always sliding or falling off.

Lay the dang thing down, not up.

                Love the show though.
