SWEETNESS!!!!
Just thought I'd let everyone know that while working on a business plan for a new haunted attraction next year, I made an inquiry to Allied Specialty Insurance for a quote. I received a terse reply from a customer service rep that said they were "no longer assuming the risk for haunted attractions." I wonder what got their ghost? I recommend removing their link from the HauntWorld insurance company category.

I have contacted every one of the insurance companies listed and all the replys have been the same. "we are no longer offering haunted house insurance."
whats the deal?
is there any more places that will offer insurance
Try bfbond.com I talked with them about 6 months ago but not recently. Let us know what happens.
If you go to amusementbusiness.com, there might be some links there for insurance companies. They will insure your haunted house, as that is the fair/carnival industry.
I was having trouble finding insurance as well. I finally went to my personal insurance agency and talked w/ the "business insurance" agent. He was able to find smaller, local insurance companies that had no problem insuring haunts - and the rates were much lower than I expected.
Just an idea, if you haven't tried that route already.
Ditto that. Check the local phone book and ask for "SPECIAL EVENT" policies.
Normally a (1 mill) policy will run between $900 and $1,500
That's my experience anyway...
One thing nice about the C.H.A.O.S. seminar being offered is that there are insurance companies that will be there and offering discounts to those who get certified. Means money in the pocket and an insurance company that wants to work with you pronto.
Good.....Good..
