Great thanks that is definitely an option!
Thanks for the feedback I've got one more question. How do you deal with larger people going through your haunt that may not be able to fit in a crawl space? Do you just make really wide crawl spaces...
Thanks for that idea!
ALso I have a question: Is it ok to make your customers do some crouching and possibly crawling? We've come up with some crawl space ideas that could give us the feel we are...
Hey guys!
It's that time of year again I'm desining our anual haunt and we have a few questions. It is a professional haunt but it only runs a few days of the season. This year our theme is that...
We post are rules where they pay, at the front of the haunt and this year we are adding a new special effect for the non-readers. We are trapping them in the elevator and making them listen to the...
I only run my haunt on the busiest weekend of the season as we are at a University and can't run the entire month so we are actually open for about 6 hours a night. Believe me we pump so many people...
Thanks for this great feed back. Especially the part about cough drops. I for some reason have never had them before. I think if I get enough of a crew I'll have a water crew this year too.
How many actor only or staging areas do you have within your haunt? Are you a fan of the floater break system or the everyone takes a 10 minute break at the same time system?
If you use the...
In almost all of our rooms the goriest, most intracate and detailed props and actors are not the ones that do the scaring. Those things draw the attention to one part of the room and the actor hiding...
So excited!
I only run my haunt during the last week of October so the rest of the season I get to tour other haunts. Tonight I am heading out to my first one of the season. Soo excited! Night...
we are doing the meat locker at the beginning of our haunt this year. Right now i just have the bags hanging from the ceiling with rope and the guests will have to push their way through them. I'll...
rshorts, love the idea I think I'll be incorporating it into one of our last rooms. We have been trying to come up with a new way to end. I get tired of the chainsaw to be quite honest.
I use them only because I haunt at a university where it seems the entire football team is terrified of clowns.
wow I kinda want to take a trip to NYC now.
That's a great link!
Our Warning is a list of rules posted just outside the haunt.
It says
Warning: You will encounter strobe lights, fog, tight spaces, total darkness, and loud noises. If...
We have a tour guide for the first minute or two of the tour. He does all the story telling in the time that it takes to get the group from the upper level to the lower level. Then a few of our...
Ok that kinda helps thanks. The tour is guided for about the first 2 minutes (it's probably a 10-15 minute tour) so 5 or 6 people every few minutes would work well.
Hey guys,
I have a couple of questions regarding group sizes.
First of all what is a good group size? Is 5 too few or is that ok?
Second, What is the best way to get more than one group...
Hey actors!
Question for you,
I'm working on my haunt layout (as far as positioning of actors is concerned) and I'm running short on actors this year. How do actors feel about having to move...
we are going to be doing a very long very dark hallway that gets tighter and tighter as you walk through it. Also further into the darkness will be fishing wire hanging from the ceiling and of course...
Personally I would end with the blackout room.
Perhaps start with a room where there is dim lighting and while they are in the room it shuts off and they must find their way into the next room...
I love the idea of a bubble machine
Someone just donated a rather large roll of chicken wire to our haunt this year. I want to put it to good use but I've never built any props with it before. Any ideas?
P.S. our theme is a cruise ship if that helps.
