The Disneyland Mansion also is closed about 2 months of the year for set up and tear down of "Haunted Mansion Holiday" An event that Florida doesn't have. I am sure the tear down of the overlay gives...

I have used and seen used a couple different methods for peeled paint.

For an exposed lathe look you can cut a tear shaped hole in the wall and place strips of lathe behind the hole. this works...

Very Nice homage to the Disney Haunted Mansion. I like the use of the lenticular technology for effects other than just portraits. You guys are at it again!

How about having the back panel of the wardrobe drop down towards the tunnel like a draw bridge? That would definately be something cool to see.
