You have to check around in your area I believe most companies rent them not sure if you can purchase one
Just curious, once you have your actors set do you pay them to show up to do a dry run prior to opening night? We have never done this but we are considering it this year.
We have been doing about 10 dollars a hour plus a bonus if they show up all our nights, works pretty well but they are still college kids and tend to be unreliable sometimes

A lot of valid points, we use actors from a drama college this way they are old enough and we don't have to worry about the labor laws and the hours they work, drama students do bring a lot of DRAMA...
