I think you might be safer with drywall stilts. Google them. They strap to your leg and provide much better support. Safer IMHO but to each their own. Safety of the actor should be stressed either...
Kelly,
I purchased all my 3D panels from Stuart years ago. IMHO he is the best 3D airbrush painter out there. And one of the nicest guys to visit with.
And I should add, going side by side or up and down shouldn't matter if the slide panel is sliding behind the wall.
Now THAT should work. A moving panel with the flourescent blue image on it to slide down or across to expose the flourescent red would get the results I think your looking for.
When the drop panels...
Since I owned a 3D haunt for many years, I will put in my 2 cents.
Just having a blue light or red light isn't going to make the prop look/act 3D (or have a vision of varying distance to seem it...
Your links are broke. At least I can't pull them up.
Dr,
Thank goodness the tornado didn't hit ya.
Wish there were more folks like you that do this for the "love" of acting in a haunt. :)
I had one "roaming actor" (aka swingman) that did the same thing but for 12 actors twice a night. Had a generic mask that fit in any part of the haunt. This way that scene or room wouldn't be left...
Amen brother
Absolutely!!!
The roaming break (10 to 15 minutes) would include restroom, drink, eat and rest all in one for each person.
A good thing about this is, other actors are waiting their turn. If an actor takes longer...
I did the same thing. And actually I myself (haunt owner) went thru with the drinks and such to greet each actor but also check to make sure their performance is not slacking off. I would observe...
I did this same thing, a couple times a night on some nights.
It's not just smokers you should be thinking about. It's all of them. Restroom stuff, girl stuff. And if they are working hard enough,...
IMHO,
A haunt, like any other business should stay open during good or bad weather (excluding outdoor haunts) if they are advertised to be open during that time.
Gotta take the good with the bad....
Again, what may be out of your price range doesn't mean others are over paying. Your budget does not set the tone for the whole haunt industry.
And your watching the bottom line for people? That's...
We had a lady that stopped breathing in our haunt back in 2003.
Luckily we had EMT on scene.
It ended on a good note.
Cut off the old tubing the quick connections go on to and reconnect. They shouldn't leak at all unless you have bad connectors. Replace them if you have to.
And my opinion is you can't afford it so you like to question someone selling stuff. (if you can't afford it, accept it and move on)
Just because YOU can't afford it doesn't mean I'm asking too...
Yes, I had the dark ride system. Sold it as a dark ride system.
Yes, I had a turn key haunt package last year. Sold it as a turn key haunt.
And yes, I have some items left over. Up for sale now....
You either have the wrong person or you're comparing to what I was selling last year which consisted of a complete haunt. I have sold a lot of items since last year. If you're comparing, please...
Relisted.

Yea, my ex-wife. She's pretty damn scary and pretty cheap too but may cost you alot more in the end. :-)
I guess if you can't locate another building, then a mall will have to do.
We did our first year haunt in a mall and it helped us get better prepared for the next year when we found a better...

Very well explained, and true!!!
