The prices and lack of connections (or direct flights) to St. Louis make scheduling and travel tougher.
In all honesty getting to St. Louis from the west coast is a pain in the @#$. Chicago was always a lot easier on travel logistics and pocketbook in general. By the way somewhere in Texas wouldn't be...
Thanks Larry. I've since found out it's David Marklin and Lora Ivanova. Neither of which I've come across in the industry before.
Who's producing this show?
There has got to be somebody who knows who is producing this show.
Oh... the suspense.
Turbidite Manor was awesome but short lived. It featured many of the sight gags they purchased from "Hallowed Haunting Grounds" (another great yard haunt) after they packed it in.
This web site does not do this incredible ambient haunt justice. As you walk around the outside of this house and look into various rooms illusions appear. It's all about the apprehensive mood that...
I always thought John D's Boneyard Production's Dracula figure in coffin pulling the stake out was very cool. Even to this day.
Even Universal Studios had a booth one year during the shows heyday. It was a few rows down from Denley's Boneyard Productions. That was a trip.
NOW IT ALL MAKES SENSE. From a design stand point, when comparing the two logos together there are some very specific points that can be made within the parameters of the design. The original has a...
I remember meeting Larry when he was the new kid on the block at Transworld who said................. "I'm going to make it big in this business". And the rest is history. That was when we were all...
Personally, I think CGI imagery in haunt videos is a bit counterproductive and that actors in make up and costumes in these kinds of videos are much more effective and believable. Next CGI level or...
Our haunt bought one of the first electric chairs and Alien Queens offered by Distortions. Yes, the chair ripped it's own head off and we then we added a harness to hold it on.
Can't we keep these updates in one spot.
Larry,
Just curious.
thanks for the update. Nuff' said.
Regards,
Robert
Larry,
This is a very interesting question. What has happened the HAA in recent years? I would have thought they would have become an important part of the IAAPA scene by now.
A couple of years ago Mr. Chase was approached to help put together a new arena sized show in Hartford but in the end result he was not interested. It would have been on the scale of the original...
Shawn,
Thanks for the quick reply. Somehow I thought your answer would be something like this. Yep, "pro" haunting becomes a different animal when it's no longer just for fun. Also thanks for your...
Dear Shawn,
You knew somebody was going to ask: After this much work and only running it for two or three years, why are you selling it? An even better haunt in the works? I've done haunts in...
Location (malls are OK) and ADVERTISING (not publicity) will make or break your show. My two cents.
Agree with Larry on this wholeheartedly.
Attendee for 16 years................... YES!!!!!!!!! to the use of fog!
We our blowing out our life sized plastic skeleton overstock on EBAY for $45.00 apiece. We're just dying to have you drop by....
They are loosely jointed but are blow molded and VERY light weight so they can be easily used almost anywhere. Thanks for asking.
