  • How Decorated is Your House?

So it's kinda a funny joke in our neighborhood, that the guy who does haunted houses has one of the most boring houses for Halloween every year. There's just no time during October, way too busy. Which wasn't an issue when we didn't have kids. But how things change.

My kids are now 6 and 3, and are getting in to the Halloween spirit full force. Now, of course they are not old enough to visit either of our haunted houses, but they do have an interest in "spooky" things. I am feeling that I will need to start decorating the house for Halloween next year.

My question is to the haunters out there, am I alone in this dilemma? What do you do? Do you decorate? Elaborate? Simple?

Let me know how you've solved this problem, and if you have any photos of your house at Halloween, show us what you got.

    Lmfao....

    this is so true !

This is the 1st year we have ever decorated... my wife put out 8 Foam pumpkins and changed the lighting to Blue LED lights along with Black Christmas Lights and a few props we have been working on.

we had a Cofin Car that we picked up a while back ( it needed quite a bit of work ) but looks great as an ornament and a ring of ghosts little color lighting and a fog machine.... The Cofin Car was lit up with Green Underlighting with a fog machine to make it look as if it was doing a smoky burnout.. I looped a Cd of a Race Car reving its engine to make it sound scary. We sat a skeleton in the car with a beanie on its head and VIOLA !!

We passed out Glow Sticks ( We counted 435 Trick Or Treaters ) Our display was a last second decision to grab what we could out of the shop and shove it out front....lmfao.... must have worked though, I guess it was the talk of the town....LMFAO

We never manage to decorate the outside of our house (to the point where my aunt will randomly put pumpkins on our porch just so we have something festive), but I general decorate the inside. This year was rather busy for us and we did a lot of work at haunts out of state, so even my interior decorations were severely lacking this year.
