Use priceline, after several tries, $64 got me a 4**** hotel right across the street from the convention center, set your own price for $64 and a 3 1/2 star hotel and you should get one close to the convention center, make sure you select the downtown area in your choices.

I am sorry to inform you but I dont think anyone will be able to get any great rates like last year. There is a Basketball tournament happening at the same time close by. So, I would not wait to book your hotel rooms.

There will be rooms.

Priceline buys lots or blocks or rooms in hotels across the country. There will be some rooms hopefully but the question is what will the savings be? Right now the Renaissance Grand is not even on the listings on Priceline so who knows time will tell but I still think its a little to early. Shane and its give it time! Shane this time!

The basketball tournament is at the football stadium connected to the convention center, these games usually draw 35,000-40,000 people, finding rooms in St Louis this weekend in downtown is going to be difficult. I've been to Sweet 16's in Kansas City, Atlanta, and San Antonio and hotel rooms within 10 miles of downtown at a reasonable price is next to impossible. Remember, not only will haunters be on priceline, so will basketball fans. If you wait, you will be sorry. The hotel I got for $64 was the The Mayfair - A Wyndham Historic Hotel on the back side, west side of the convention center.

thank Jenn from Transworld. She told me, and she was sad to hear it because she knew some people would be upset the hotel rooms could be hard to come by at the last minute. And no one was going to get as good of room costs as last year.
