      "Slow and Mysterious"
Sounds as if you need the rare version of "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" done by the ever mysterious Alvin and the Chipmonks.

It's due, in part, to me being so odd...

"Satan's Stowaway" from my CD "Fade To Black" is one I'd suggest...

It's kind of hard to recommend music when I don't know anything about the illusion, but have you thought about Boadicea by Enya? We used it in our bedroom scene last season and it was the HIT of the haunt as far as music goes. People came out commenting on how creepy the music was. Enya hums all the way through the song. No words are spoken. If you've ever seen Stephen King's Sleepwalkers (the movie with all the cats) and watched the credits, Boadicea is playing. The crew wants to use it again this season. I'll think about it.....

Good question, xxxdirk! Some peeps fail to see how important music can be. It can make a good scene great and a so - so better.

I second that! Enya is one of the only recording artists that truly gives me the creeps ... Well, her and K-Fed....

Are you looking for something strictly instrumental or would something with vocals (verse, or just humming?) work?

Hmmm, I like Enya's creepiness, too. Or Enigma, even.

One of the Indie guys in our town has some interesting music, too.

Again, not exactly sure what you are looking for or exactly what mood you want to hit with it.

                          Maybe something by Delerium?

                            Slow and mysterious....

Older music by Sarah McLaughlin or Tori Amos?

                            How about classical?

Apocolyptica has some great stuff on cello - (they did covers of Metallica's music on cello, as well).
