I'm looking for a wireless signaling device to alert the tractor driver, like a brake light on the hood or brush bar . we have a security person ride the back stairs. anyone know of someone similar that could be used? I have power ran from the tractors battery to the amp that is mounted on the front of the wagon and I could run a wire from front to back but I rather have a single button type remote hanging on the neck of the security person . any help would be appreciated, if not I will have to build them myself.

I checked it out but I was looking for something with 1 button only, like that old commercial " I have fallen and can't get up" remote on a lanyard, I don't want any delay finding which button to push. I need 10 units .

You should be able to make them work on a light, the car armed sound might be helpful also.

you got me thinking the last post and I went to Pep Boys to look for those universal remote keyless entry kits, they run $59 each. I started looking on alibaba.com to find them cheap and found this type. http://cgi.ebay.com/1CH-Momentary-RF...item2eaa2f1303

I order 20 units $7.99 each +shipping, momentary on/off, I figure I can use a few in the haunted house too. for the large rooms, I can wire them in to the lighting and the actor can hold the button in to keep the light off for a second or two, total darkness, once the are a foot away from the patron they can release the button.

as for the brake light, I found this set of magnetic LED towing lights, I'm thinking I can make two out of each set and put the receiver in the base of the light. Hayride emergency stop light project

Here is the update on my Hayride Emergency Stop Light. I finished it and it cost me about $35.65 to do each tractor. 1 wireless module w/remote $10, LED magnetic towing light $17, 2 pole flat plug $2, 1 fuse block $3, shrink tubes $1, 1 mini switch w/ waterproof cap $1, 2 ring connectors for battery $1.50 ,lanyard .15 cents and some 100% silicone I had already. I decided to just tie it in to the battery because a 9 volt battery will only last 30 hrs on standby, it draws 5 ma and a 9 volt battery is less than 300 MA
I'm sure there isn't a high demand for this, most hayrides that I have seen don't even have wagon riders but we do. the only reasons I have a need for these is because over the years our tie rod bolts have sheered off, we do chain our tractors to the running gear, but the damage is done to our building when the wagon is inside a set, the wagon ends up dragging in to the side wall causing damage, by the time the wagon riders call the driver on the radio it's to late. I wanted something that will make the driver stop instantly. putting a LED light on the hood or brush bar and remote button around the neck of the wagon rider will defiantly make them stop! also, this could save an actor from getting hurt.

The Gravedigger Truck

All that horsepower unleashed for burn outs..and it's driver had a heart attack! Ran over a spectator (dead)
So the sponsers demanded a remote kill-switch for the engine, radio controlled.
I have had very good use from a $90 old but new used car alarm for my doorbell. I can be underground in the wine cellar or half-way across this little town and know if someone is at my door. (Freedom for Jim!)
An old car radio antenna soldered to the antenna lead on the car part of the alarm plus a Radio Shack transformer plugged into my 120 volts of house current and Radio Shack rechargable batterys for the unit in my pocket set to vibrate since I might not hear those little beeps.
The doorbell mounted on the house connects the "Burglered" portion of the circuit.

Thanks for sharing the progress. Looks great! I wish I had an electronic aptitude it sure would mske alot of things easier. Well done and it looks like a great solution.

If you need a stop button for the driver to stop. i would just put in a light or push button switch.
