  • Need a website? Sinister Visions donates design for charity

My daughter's preschool is doing a charity auction, and Sinister Visions has donated a full website design and one year's hosting. ANYBODY can bid on this - estimated value is $900.00; current bid is $0.

This is an HTML site; no Flash, nothing overly fancy, but professionally designed and installed, complete with email, comprehensive stats, and so forth - everything you need to get your haunt online and kicking booty. If you bid and win, there's always the option to upgrade!

So hey, you could get a Sinister Visions-designed site for less than it would normally cost. Plus, ALL proceeds from the auction go directly to the preschool - every cent.

Won't somebody PLEASE help the children??

They asked for a minimum bid; I figured less than half the value would be a good place to start...

(Like I said - "For less than it would normally cost", not "for nothin'!")

Good idea for charity. I wish I needed a site. But I will pass the word.

For the record, the question was posed to me "If I bid on this, what do I need to provide?"

You'll need to purchase your own domain name (so that you own it, not me) - I recommend GoDaddy.com ($9/year).

Other than that, you'll just need to give me info about your haunt or business, and we'll discuss how you want it to look. I'll do the rest!

Last time I checked the bid was at $400, which is a total steal for what you'll be getting...

Rather that sending you another PM this time, I'll ask on the forum. Could you put a link on here to a website you designed-that would be about equal to what we would get-so we can see about what we would get for this offer. Being a website that nothing fancy, or over the top, I'd just like to see what that would look like.

It seems to me-the few websites I've visited for haunted houses are pretty hi-tech with lots of work put into them.

Also, later on if we wanted to upgrade to some video, or other graphic stuff, what kind of price ranges are we looking at?

                Thanks in adanvce.

Here are three HTML-only haunt sites I've done in the last year or so:

                  http://www.enterthenecropolis.com/

                  http://www.ultimateterrors.com/

                  http://www.hauntplex.com

Upgrades depend entirely on what you want, and I'd rather discuss them mano-a-mano.
