We're good, thanks! You might have to smoke without us this year. Either way, I hope you have a great show. From the looks of it, I'm sure you will! Keep it up.

          Man,
I just don't know how you do it.
How do you hand build all these props.
Most vendors use molds for casting, but you hand build everything don't you?
          What an undertaking.
          I wouldn't want your job.
What we do is hard enough.

            Hay kevin

these styles are all developed by me through the years of pain staking trial and error. way back in the 1990's i had a scholarship to the Art Instuite of Pittsburgh, However due to my house blowing up from a gas explosion (I was left Homeless at 22) i had to go a different route in life. Rebuilding it.
so no i've never been to any sfx course or workshop. i am just the guy who was haunting in front of his yard. for the pure Love of it. then in 1995 i found hauntworld the movie part somthing...lol
and found that there was an industry for nuts like me and i was not alone.

so after that i saw vendors like you and others. i guess you can say i am a huge fan of all ya guys.

since 2000 i have been honing my skills to become the artist i am today.
so i am happy to be in the company of great creative ppl like yourself and other prop makers,
ppl i admired for many years.

like some one said to me
            jerry
you are the people's prop maker
you came up off the streets of hard knocks and you earned your talent one prop at a time.

however i have found out there is also a darkside to this industry
it showed its ugly head to me in 2009 when i found a someone and a vendor copying some of my props because he would do it cheaper. It saddens me to think that people would do something like that. So instead of getting things nasty and dragging things out
i decided to turn a negative into a positive and put the best props i could do out for 2010.
many nights of no or little sleep.
when halloween season endend i didnt stop.
            i worked and worked.
thanksgiving night, christmas day night, even new years eve after the ball dropped.
            i was working.
i guess i can thank these two its because of them i have all these new 100 items
its because of them i pushed myself to go into even more directions then ever for 2010

            In a nut shell
I think the people who you think are your friends are truly your enemy and your enemies are truly your friends.
because your competiors have respect for what you do and how its done.

because if i was ever asked to copy someones props to a tee
i would tell that person sorry i only make creepycollection props
but i guess i was not honored that way the same.

thanks for your praise on my efforts and Hopefully reading this backstory
and of course i love all your work
