Is anyone even on myspace anymore? I mean seriously MySpace is falling off the planet just as fast as it hit the scene all these years ago!

          Just a thought!

Does seem like most of the traffic is moving to FB but you have to really work it over there. Not as easy to whore yourself out for free. I find that they are booth still needed for exposure tho. As much as people do bitch about MS you still find them there.

Depends on your demographics and area, but I agree. MySpace is on the decline as everyone moves to Facebook. I did a Market Data Study for one of the haunted houses in the Indianapolis area and one of the questions asked was if they participated on a online social network, which one did they use frequently. The results were: 90% - Facebook, 63% - MySpace, 57% - Twitter. The older the customer, they used Facebook. If they were about 17 or younger, they were on MySpace.

Uh......I use myspace. Took me a while to get those "friends" plus to add on my actual friends....LOL, I guess I'm outdated & need to get with the program huh?
Over all I like my page set-up. I don't know, the whole twitter & facebook thing is all just so foreign to me. I guess I'll catch up with the world one of these days.

This reminds me of something I've been telling my clients. Always remember, just because your not using using it or think it's "cool", doesn't mean that your customers share the same attitude. Do market research and find out who's visiting your haunt. Don't just rely on advertising in the school newspaper in October. Find out where your customers are and what they are using (MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Web Blogs, etc..) and develop a system to reach out to them and get them excited about your haunt year round.

I'm surprised you can recommend that company... Or should I say that girl. I had a terrible experience with her.

I asked for a quote off her before. After she told me I said I would think about it. She then kept harrasing me, added me to AIM and MSN, and e-mail after e-mail. I kept saying I wouldn't be able to at the moment so she kept reducing the price trying to get a sale out of me.

She notified me about her Christmas promotion, everything half price, or something like that. So I ended up hiring her to design me a video intro. I paid her half the money she was asking before she worked on it and gave her the full instructions on how I wanted it done.

She then stopped contacting me. After I paid her through PayPal she didn't want to know. I would see her online over MSN, message her asking what's going on and she pretended to be her partner and business associate saying she was ill. First she claimed she got in a car accident, then it was the swine flu, and then it was something wrong with her eyes... I can't remember the order she said them to me. I had no contact off her for over a month, accept for these 'people' that was using her MSN. I also noticed she was online for her chatroom on her site AND she was making a new layout for her site.

In the end I threatened her I would sue, so she immediately responded with shit excuses and said she'll give my money back. I never did though. She reckoned PayPal made an error, she sounded convincing enough, but I phoned Paypal and gave them the reference number she gave me, they said they never had a payment for me from her.

She then said she would give me a Myspace layout, she'll design it first as evidence before I could pay. But halfway through she had a change of mind and decided she wanted the money first. I told her no and took my business elsewhere, she then messaged me asking she changed her mind again and will stick through it this time! I kept saying no, she started to be rude, so she makes herself to be the worst designer I have ever done business with.

Terrible communication, foul mouth and rude, unprofessional, breaks promises, tries to steel the money... She even tried putting my off going to other designers working for the haunt industry by saying she's the best and their work is 'shit'. I don't care how cheap she tries to get work, I wouldn't trust her with even £10.

Sorry, I had to take this off my mind. I didn't want to bring her up on these Forums. But after you mentioned her, saying how much of an awesome job she did on your website, well, I had to say something.
