WOW this could be a first, seeing that so many people can't even get a refinance on a loan for a house that they are already living in!! But we can get loans for a temporary seasonal event with questionable assets??? Talk about a Stimulus Package!! Details would be entertaining at the least!

It does make you wonder, come on, people can't get fianancing for their homes.
Companies that specialized in smaller loans that wold have possibly loaned to haunters
are out of business. So how is money going to be available to a temporary event, without a permaneat location, with only your props and maybe your reputation as collaterial????

Talk to your local banker, who at least sees you first hand has access to your accounts to see the money flow through your event and if they won't lend you money how is someone from a Haunt message board going to be able to do it???

Now maybe he has an Uncle Guido who will lend you a little cash if you put up your first born male child and you pay back a 300 % loan!!! It just makes you wonder. What's the old saying..."if it's too good to be true....then you're right."

I'm not trying to personally attack anyone here, just ask some questions. Someone just starts posting, they say they have all this experience, yet they state they are only into Halloween as a hobby, then they work with other vendors, then have have web sites for sale, then they have drug companies as sponsors, now they offer loans to haunters?????

It's just like the thread that seems to cycle through every now and then about sponsorships. someone claims they have a sponsor that will give then cash to build their haunt and we go on and on about sponsorship dollar. The reality is 99.9% of sponsors will NOT sponsor you with cash, especially a new upstart haunt. The best you get is exposure, trade of advertising, maybe a discount. It's not a bad deal, have have a lot of well know sponsors. I trade out for exchange of advertising. So while I don't get money, I save oney that I would have had to spend on advertising. But someone claims they can get money from sonsors to build a haunt adn we waste a bunch of time and effort "chasing a ghost"! It's like our own private internet scam!!

We should be focusing on things that help our attractions, further our industry, protect ourselves. Just too many questions.

Hmmmm....I bet this poster is trolling for haunt specific financials.
It would make writing a B-plan easier- with a sampling of legit income statements from all the pro haunters on this site.

This guy promising this graduated a year ahead of me from our little high school here, I had no clue what he had been doing since.
I went to his parent's house, they weren't home.
He wanted to sign me up (under him) as a door to door salesman selling soap!
"Then with this extra income, you can expand your business."
I was not happy. He and his wife were so incredibly under-paid teaching at a parochial school that they had to be out selling soap too.
