guilderfluke advice...help!

Whats the best way to learn show contol set up and programming? Such as Guilderfluke systems...I have decent knowledge of dmx control as far as lighting, but stepping into the Guilderfluke world looks so intimidating! any advice??

Start with the basics

It's much easier then you think. In fact if you start with the MiniBrick-4 or -8 you can program them "key bang" style. You can work your way up using the MiniBrick-8 and the free software. Technically you can program the -4 with the software but you need a cumbersome adapter. The license for the full blown software is up around $660. Download the free stuff and check it out and see if its for you before you invest too much.
