  • scaring up actors

This is our second year in a 40,ooo sq ft haunt and we are looking to extend our weekend hours by being open the whole month of October. BUT, we are having a heck of a time getting actors to fill all the spots. The community is really involved, like the high school and community college but we are about 90% local volunteers and some certin dates including Halloween we were WAY understaffed.

Can anyone help us with tips on how to find actors?

Have you checked for any local theater groups, stage companies. Other than the local schools and colleges that would be another great resource to see about using.

Yes we have used the local theater and plan on moving outside the city to other theaters where we can get a larger group of actors. I figured auditions are a good idea. When should we have them held?
