      Correct me if I am wrong but by most states laws who ever had the high bid is now the legal owner of the property. You mentioned no reserve in any form. You had posted into a binding contract with your auction. Obviously most people won't go after you(unless they live in your state) because of the low value of the item.
      I would be PO'ed if I was the high bid and then you came back and said tough... I had a reserve I didn't tell anyone about.
      I apologize if I missed something but ???
