I totally agree with web monster. Wall paper IS the way to go! They have almost everything on wallpaper, and they look more realistic. They actually have textured ones out there now. But unfortunately you would have to waterproof them somehow. But Thats definately a better route instead of scene setters.

However, Im not saying that scene setters are a bad product, Im just saying that they aren't really for a professional haunt. Because if you are paying for a ticket, you should expect good sets, realistic sets. Not sets that are plastic and unrealistic. (I hope all this made sense!)

Yes, I do agree that they are not for the professional haunt. However, in a home haunt, or non-profit situation, they would work great.

The scene setters look better in your photos than I thought. I always thought they were quite naff and would be better for home haunters and kids parties.

Does anyone know if it has a fire retardent rating?

I used paint and specialist wallpaper which unfortuntely is very expensive to get and then distressed it.

Wallpaper also has 'fire ratings' and types of ink can be more flamable than others so watch out it if you are cladding the walls and need to inspected and fully compliant.

DO Scene Setters make your haunt? If you have a Pro haunt and you use them, will they demote your haunt to a "lower class?"

Hogwash, I say! I have a professional haunt and like I said, I'm considering using the ones I bought last year. It all depends on how they look when I dress them up.

I'm not going to get into a discussion on whether Scene Setters should and shouldn't be used in a pro haunt. Who are we to say what should be used in someone else's place? It's an individual thing and.....a financial thing. Wallpaper is expensive. And for people like Scar and I who are into their second season, getting a large amount of wallpaper can be completely out of the financial question. Although I don't use the Scene Setters brick or stone walls and perfer to paint the stone or bricks on myself, that doesn' t mean that someone else who decides to use a Scene Setter is any less professional than the next.

            Just my honest opinion.

I agree empress, But actually, Scene setters are MORE expensive than wallpaper. Scene setters go for $30 a roll, as where wallpaper is like $15 for a roll (at my local Lowes). So in a way your getting better stuff for half the price. But like you said, Its up to you because its your own haunt. So just consider the wall paper Idea.

Or, just don't do the whole haunt in scene setters, because when the customers can touch it, they will. This means that you'll wind up spending more money replacing the scene setters that some punk ripped up. And a ripped up stone wall doesn't look that Professional. What I'm saying is that, if your going to use the scene setters, keep them away from the punks that can ruin them. I don't mean to sound disrespectful if I do.

See, I've never used the rolled stuff. What am I saying? I've never used any Scene Setters....yet. Are the rolls that expensive? YIKES! I was planning on painting my walls, anyway.
The wallpaper price that you mentioned - does that include the brick/stone look that was posted here? If so, then I may forgo painting....

Webmonster, where did you get the wallpapers you posted on this thread? Pretty cool looking and I have a few places in our haunt I could use the ones in the pictures you posted.

You guys can get the wall paper at lowes, its textured, and it comes in white, so its definately paintable.
