I'm looking for a location and am seeing what others do/think about travel time.

How far from home is your haunt?
How far from home would you be willing to drive to your haunt?

Mine is 10 minutes from my house. I didn't plan on it that way, I just found a great spot close to home.

We are also just about 10 minutes from work - and it is right across from my day job.

I am at the top of the hill from downtown. About 1000 ft. Takes me 30 seconds unless the light at the corner is red. Only Jim Warfield is closer, he lives in his haunt. Or his haunt is located in his home, but I wouldn't call him a home haunter, but a haunter homey.

    There it is.
    Advantages/disadvantages
Drunks throwing full, unopened cans of beer against the side of your house at 2am., as hard as they can throw them. (Arrests were made, heads could have rolled, they were Nuke plant guards!) Makes you feel real good doesn't it?
Twice we heard a whole roomfull of voices singing, laughing, music playing at 2 am from the other side of that wall, nobody there, nobody outside, dead quiet as a tomb.....it's a haunted, haunted house, used to be an inn & tavern, my greatgrandfather used to bartend here 110 years ago.
Disadvantage: I'm replacing the north roof today, I own it, leaks and all. Fun,fun, fun.
