There's stuff called perma blood, http://www.palenightproductions.com/fxsupplies.html or http://www.fxwarehouse.info/mm5/merc...gory_Code=Mask

You can also mix pros-aid with red and blue dye http://www.fxwarehouse.info/mm5/merc..._Code=ProsAide

Or you can get paint, red with slight blue tint High Gloss.

For my gore tables, I mixed Water Based Polycrylic Clear Gloss Finish by Minwax with a Blood Red Universal tint. For the tint, I went to a Sherwin Williams and they were very nice and gave me a generous amount of blood red tint. This mix works very well for set pieces and some other props too. I am still testing what I can use it on. It is a pretty inexpensive way to make it. I would recommend having your tint slightly darker then you need it though because it seemed to lighten up a little once mixed with the gloss finish. I have also mixed different textures like sawdust with the mix to get different effects. Only downside is it dries hard, so you can't put it on anything flexible. Hope this helps.
