Hi guys,
I am looking to build a couple props this year using steel tube that when powered with a pneumatic will move.
I'd like this to be about the height of a chair then jump up to about 7' tall.
Does anyone have a website that will be a starting point for the design of the 4 link design to get the math and angles for me.
I have seen a couple that i can drag the mechinisum to see its movement.

I find these links to be indespensible in the design phase.
If you can reference a specific prop I could give you approximate dimensions. I don't give out exact dimensions and tolerances on props I build, but generally don't have a problem sharing linkage lengths and cylinder strokes.
There is a 4 bar simulation software package here , http://www.boopack.com/software.html , that is free.
Also using an engineering program like autocad or solidworks, or even google sketchup helps. I design all my props in Autocad to make sure the dimensions work before I start cutting steel.
