  • Sucurity?

Im guessing people occasionaly get Trouble makers that go through there haunts. They end up messing with scenery, touching props, and can cause damage. If it was curiosity i would not be as upset. But most accounts if not all they intentionaly will touch props and actors for a positive reaction from there drunken friends or a negetive reaction from actors, owners, and whatever. It usualy be from age groups of 6th grade up. Being an volunteer for years and seeing much but now starting a haunt of my own how would i counter this and what would i do to those who were caught doing it.

I would just go and find the biggest dude possible to be your security for the night. If you want to go all out you can also get a rent-a-cop for the night especially if its going to draw tons of people. I would also go and invest in a basic security camera system so if you don't get the cop and someone does real damage that you have proof. Great investment for the 2-3 hundred dollars it cost for a basic one. Plus you can put the videos on YouTube.

I have had my haunt for 5 years had one problem and yanked him out myself. It also helps that Our Haunt is sponsored By our local police department and have 4 to 6 cops in uniform always hanging around. But in your case just use someone for security, the key here is to have a key word to scream for your actors if they see someone doing something. Do not use help or anything like that, try Capt. Crunch or some obscure word that you would not hear in your haunt. when security hears the key word they and the other actors come running.

He was ripping down some camo netting that was hanging from a tree. I was walking behind the set and he started to rip it down, I jumped around the netting scared him half to death grabbed his arm chicken winged him and grabbed the back of his hair and escorted him out right back out the entrance.
