Quick question , has anyone tried to tint 2 part silicone with standard paint tints, oil base paint or dry dye? what would happen?

You can use oil paints, they work fine. Latex paints and tints that contain latex will inhibit the cure of silicones. Are you using platinum or tin based silicone?

Or you can use silicone colorant, specifically designed to tint the silicone with which you are working.

Im using tin based silicone so I hope oil tint will work. I do have pure tint base from the paint store. Thanks for the advise. I know using the high priced tints made for the silicone products are best. But I am doing a free haunt for innercity kids.

Is it going on the skin? Only platinum silicone is recommended for skin contact.
