What exactly does their marketing package include? I think that would help if we knew what they were offering.

Personally I don't know how it would help either...just because someone says they do marketing doesn't mean they know anything, or can help you in another city. Every city is different, every city is unique and no one knows how to market your haunt better than local people or yourself.

People have unique idea's and those are good to learn, but trust me nothing works the same for one guy in one city like it does for another in a different city.

True, Larry. I do my own Haunt Marketing in Illinois, but that doesn't mean it will help the folks in Arizona. What works here doesn't necessarily work there.

So, what exactly does Scream Queen Marketing have to offer us for that $2,000?

Great point Larry. But I do work in Advertising and Marketing for a living and location does a play a key role in marketing. So in that aspect you are right. But in another, advertising companies and marketing companies know what to look for in targeting which demographic is in your area, what promotions will work and items like that.

It's kind of like having commercials on TV, they are all specific to a central region and will differ from those say in CA, but most if not all were created, marketed and designed by one place and agancy. That is where their expertise falls into play. It's like someone giving you advice on stocks. IF you only know liitle about stocks you can go far but with someone who does this day in and day out you will come out better.

But I do agree with your points. Very valid and makes sense. But I am speaking from my end since I work for an Advertising and Marketing Agency as Creative/Art Director and Graphic Designer. But Larry, good points to be taken into consideration.

I'd love to see a non-profit win this. I like the idea, which has been discussed here before, of seeing non-profit haunts assisted in changing the perceptions of the public toward non-profit haunted attractions. Although we're a for-profit haunt, I believe helping non-profits with this would be beneficial to the industry as a whole. With haunts like the ones Emp and Scar host, it's obvious that being a non-profit does not mean a haunt is not a professional haunted attraction!

We do a random draw for every contest on the show.

But as the cards would have it, Kelly, it was a charity haunt that won.

For those of you who care to know or not care to know:

Chaos Haunted House, in Arlington, TX won.

A charity haunted house, where proceeds go to local Special Olympics teams and Special Needs teams in the Tarrant County area.

                      Sweetie,

That's exactly the message I'm hoping to get across to everyone as the seasons go on.

Jen Sharlow, who IS Scream Queen Marketing has helped us greatly with marketing advice. It is true that we know our own market and each is different, but there are certain tidbits of advice that works for us all. Jen knows her stuff!

I agree with Larry. I would think that the Scream Queen of marketing would have a major event herself that she runs and has marketed successfully but I didn't see anything like that online. Am I missing something?
