  • Oiler unit for animatronics?

My tech guy was telling mr recently that we need to install an oiler unit next to the de-humidifier coming off our main air compressor. I don't think I've heard of this being done before.

Is this common practice with many animations hooked together?

We do have some older props that seem to be getting a little sluggish when they're activated. Will this help lubricate the cylinders? And will it lubricate or clog up the valves?

In some situations a pneumatic lubricator can benefit your pneumatics. In industrial applications where items are activated continuously it is a requirement, unless the specific components are lubricated for life, or require clean dry air. In haunt pneumatics, valves and cylinders can benefit slightly from the use of a lubricator. But to be honest, I have never installed a lubricator with any of my haunt projects, because the benefit will be negligible. The biggest most important thing is filtering and drying. If you have a dryer unit already, and are filtering you air well, you should be fine.
