Stack boot repair?

Anyone have a good way to repair those cheap stack boots? Like the ones from Demonia or the short 'frankenstein' boots that always seperate from the soles?
We've tried Barge and regular contact cement. Is there any other flex glue or epoxy to try? Or do I just have to try to bolt them together?
