  • IAHA Credit Card Benefit Update

    Fellow IAHA Members!

Good News! We were able to get a even lower credit card rate just today from MecuryPay Systems. This is one REAL Benefit you have access to simply by calling our IAHA rep at MercuryPay Systems and telling them you are a IAHA member. I encourage you to pick up the phone and call Elmo today and put extra cash in your pocket this season by saving on this incredible deal. I have signed up and I have heard others are also switching over.

Below is a simple chart we have made to make it much easier to understand based on a $20.00 event ticket. This information can also be found on the IAHA site under the member section by clicking on the Vendor Discounts link. www.hauntedhouseassociation.org

    Good job Tony!

This is a step in the right direction!

When people can process their own credit cards, you can gain a merchent account which will allow you to sell your own tickets on line, if you so choose or even create an online store, or sell tickets in your booth with a CC.

We have been processing CC through our own merchent account for years, this is how we sell tickets ourselves on line. You save yourself THOUSANDS of dollars, over getting ripped off by one unnamed company. As many of you know we have an online store and we have to use a merchent account to process transactions...this is exactly what we're doing.

We use the same merchant account to sell tickets online, and or sell tickets using credit cards in our ticket booth. Today its a wireless web world anyone can hook up a labtop in their ticket booth to process credit cards or sell tickets themselves online.

    Good job!

My "Laptop" is my psychic black and white pussy-cat, he's never wrong, if he says "No" they don't get in, insifficient funds means insufficient fun for us later.

        Tony,
Do they have a cheap (ie. free) shopping cart available? I have considered switching MHC processing to something less expensive but I like the convenience of Paypal as well as having everything included.

          Barry,

Who ever hosts your website should have a shopping cart program... most hosting providers have shopping cart program available.

I've found it better to use straight up credit cards rather than paypal.

The reason being that everyone has a credit card ready to go while most do not have a paypal account... obviously most ebay users have paypal but most others do not.

Most people when buying something on the web, do it under impulse, if they don't have a paypal account they might put it off until later but later never comes.

Paypal is a good option but CC processing is the #1 option.

Paypal has their Virtual Terminal for back end credit card processing. You can also use Paypal's shopping cart without having an account. The MHC site is hosted locally by a friend so no free cart is available. May have to look into some of my other hosts though.
