  • Cost to vend?

    Hey guys,

I am wondering how much does it normally cost to vend at a show? I talking space, booth, supplies, time... EVERYTHING! Don't leave out any detail!

    Thanks so much. -Tyler

That really depends on the show, it's location, etc...

    Things to consider:

    Cost of vendor space
    Hotel room
    Drayage
Extra Union fees for whatver they can think of
    Electric
    tables, chairs, carpet
    food while at the show
    time away from work

I am sure there are more.

Whats Drayage? And I would most likely set-up myself... F*CK unions. -Tyler

Drayage is the cost they charge you to move your stuff from the loading dock to your vendor space.

If the show is union controlled, you do NOT get a choice of union or non union moving. Or ANYTHING involving your booth...

that is the exact reason I will never booth at Transworld. I will not booth at a show where you have to pay someone to plug a light in, or hook up an air line.

At Ironstock it costs us about $1000 with gas, hotel, booth space.

At MHC it will cost us about $1500 for all that.

              At Hauntcon about $2500.

All these are for two booth spaces though. If your only getting one it would be less. Ironstocks booths are $50 ea, mhc $225, and Hauntcon 600-800 approximately.

But they might be REAL good at screwing in a light bulb, if they are very small fairy-like creatures, that is?
